The latest trend for side tables according to Tonelli Design

Signed by Martina Castagna, this novelty focuses on a mix&match of colours and materials with the glass being the common denominator.

After the success at Milan Design Week preview, the official production of Updown begins, the new and eclectic collection of side tables of Tonelli Design signed by newcomer Martina Castagna.

The brand of the Marche region, glass icon and reference point for the Italian and international field, bets on a mix&match of materials and colours presenting a proposal that meets the latest furnishing trends but with a completely personal point of view.

The concept

Born into the art, Martina Castagna invents for Tonelli Design a new concept between side table and coffee table, where the colour confers freshness and vitality thus captivating the attention from the first look. Available in different dimensions and heights, with tops and bases either round or square, made of fused glass or metal, these tables impart that new-modernist elegance which is part of the brand’s DNA. Their aesthetic variety places them, by themselves or grouped together, in different spaces of the house. The primitive shapes of base and top exalt the detail of the central stem in metalized champagne finish, meticulously lathed in its thickness and refined on the surface.

“I thought of these small tables as something simple but at the same time unusual and different – confirms Martina Castagna. In fact I focused on the idea to create something that could be used in several ways, turned, displaced and with simple shapes such as a circle and a square, so that it could be adapted to any context”.

The technical detail

Small tables with central stem, base and top square or round. Top in fused glass, smoked bronze and lacquered in three shades of semi-transparent green or in metal with shaped profile in metalized champagne finish.
