Promotedesign.it: la storia di un’idea che ha lasciato il segno

Il 21 agosto 2010 prende vita Promotedesign.it, un’idea visionaria nata dalla passione di Enzo Carbone e Donato Giordano. Un sogno trasformato in realtà grazie al talento di Francesco La Notte, sviluppatore che ha creduto nel progetto fin dal primo istante, accompagnandolo nella sua evoluzione passo dopo passo.

L’obiettivo?

Dare visibilità globale a designer, architetti e aziende di prodotto, creando un ponte tra talento e opportunità.

Negli anni, la piattaforma è cresciuta enormemente, superando i 70.000 iscritti da ogni angolo del mondo. È stata più di un sito: un vero e proprio trampolino di lancio per innumerevoli progetti di Enzo Carbone e della società Prodes Italia, che ha saputo trasformare un’idea in una realtà consolidata nel panorama internazionale.

Oggi, 19 marzo 2025, dopo quasi 15 anni, Prodes Italia ha deciso di chiudere questo capitolo, concentrando le proprie energie su nuove sfide e orizzonti.

Un viaggio straordinario

Ricordo tutto con immenso piacere. Promote Design non è stato solo un progetto, ma un vero e proprio viaggio. È stato come un figlio, un compagno di crescita, un sogno che ha preso vita e ci ha aperto porte inimmaginabili, creando opportunità straordinarie. Siamo partiti in due, con il cuore colmo di ambizione e una voglia irrefrenabile di costruire qualcosa di grande. Oggi, guardando indietro, vedo quanto quel sogno sia cresciuto: Prodes Italia è diventata una realtà solida, capace di dare lavoro stabile a oltre 40 persone tra dipendenti e collaboratori. Quello che un tempo era solo un’idea oggi è una famiglia, una storia di impegno, passione e successo.

Da questa piattaforma è nato per primo Design For, la pubblicazione editoriale che ha dato voce ai giovani talenti del design. Poi sono arrivati gli eventi durante il Fuorisalone di Milano, la gestione dell’intero distretto di Lambrate e tanto altro ancora. Ogni passo ci ha portato sempre più lontano, fino a trasformare Prodes Italia in un punto di riferimento mondiale nell’organizzazione di grandi eventi.

Non è stato facile prendere la decisione di chiudere il sito da cui tutto è iniziato, ma oggi sono certo che sia stata una scelta strategica necessaria per esplorare nuove strade. Il nostro percorso ci ha portato in direzioni diverse e oggi operiamo in settori differenti, dove il design di prodotto e arredo non è più il nostro core business. Tuttavia, non escludo che in futuro possa nascere un nuovo progetto legato a questo mondo.

Grazie ai 70 mila iscritti, agli oltre 80 milioni di visitatori, agli sponsor, a chi ha creduto in questa visione e l’ha resa così grande. Promote Design è stato creato per dare qualcosa… e ha dato tanto.

Promotedesign.it: The Story of an Idea That Made Its Mark

On August 21, 2010, Promotedesign.it came to life - a visionary idea born from the passion of Enzo Carbone and Donato Giordano. A dream that became reality, thanks to the talent of Francesco La Notte, a developer who believed in the project from day one and guided its evolution step by step.

The goal?

To give global visibility to designers, architects, and product companies, creating a bridge between talent and opportunity.

Over the years, the platform has grown tremendously, surpassing 70,000 registered users from all over the world. It was more than just a website - it became a true launchpad for countless projects by Enzo Carbone and Prodes Italia, the company that turned an idea into an established reality on the international stage.

Today, March 19, 2025, after almost 15 years, Prodes Italia has decided to close this chapter, focusing its energy on new challenges and horizons.

An Extraordinary Journey

I remember everything with great joy. Promote Design wasn’t just a project; it was a true journey. It felt like a child, a companion in growth, a dream that came to life and opened unimaginable doors, creating extraordinary opportunities.

We started as just two people, driven by ambition and an unstoppable desire to build something great. Today, looking back, I see how much that dream has grown: Prodes Italia has become a thriving company, providing stable employment to over 40 people, both employees and collaborators. What was once just an idea has now become a family - a story of commitment, passion, and success.

From this platform, our first major project was Design For, an editorial publication that gave young design talents a voice. Then came the events during Milan's Fuorisalone, the management of the entire Lambrate District, and much more. Every step took us further, establishing Prodes Italia as a global leader in organizing major events.

It wasn’t easy to decide to shut down the website where it all began, but today, I am certain that this was a necessary strategic choice to explore new paths. Our journey has led us in different directions, and today we operate in new industries, where product and furniture design are no longer our core business. However, I don’t rule out the possibility that a new project related to this world may emerge in the future.

Thank you to our 70,000 members, over 80 million visitors, our sponsors, and everyone who believed in this vision and helped make it so great. Promote Design was created to give back - and in return, it has given so much.
