Blockgram Tangram: an idea from the past finds new applications in the present. Inspirations comes from the most famous puzzle in history: “the square of wisdom”, also known as chinese tangram, a square divided into seven parts, forming a parallelogram, a square, two small triangles, a medium triangle and two big ones. The unlimited kind of figures that can be created with those seven pieces provided the concept for a series of outdoor seats observing the proportions and the playful and customable side of the original tangram. This is meant to be a reflection on the public space,the inhabitation and a revaluation of the seat by ironic and modern means. The bench becomes something more solid: a point of view on things, an order in their arrangement that doesn't refer to a plan to beautify the ground, but to a subject. It's the subject who perceives and moulds the space.
