A fossil represents generally a trace of the past that we find often just by chance. What amazes me is the fact that it is characterized by a physical vulnerability, which reduces it to “presence” to be observed, but, at the same time, hides an obstinate resistance that keeps it until the present. Draw a zoomorphic Object, inspiring myself to a distant past, it’s a way to remember and to freeze that track through time, balancing the vulnerability and resistance inseparably. Mantis table is the first in a series of three products that will arise as traces of the past in collaboration with De Mura brand SistemaLab srl. The structure is made of solid walnut, while the top is made of tempered glass that leaves visible structure, the real essence of this work
