Biography

BLOOMBOOM is the story of a creative fusion of the french Designer François-Marie Gérard and the austrian stylist Irma Birka. Both living in Paris François

Marie Gerard is a French designer and model maker. A self-taught man from the world of decor, he uses techniques such as sculpture, cabinet-making and new technologies to make his own creations with complete freedom.His attention to finishings, combined with his savoir-faire and technical approach, has enabled him to work for prestigious brands such as Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Baccarat, Dior, Tiffany, Piaget, Tissot and Fendi over the last 25 years.

He has also designed and made many pieces of furniture and objects for private clients.

Irma Birka is a Paris-based, Austrian stylist who was born in Prague. She studied at Studio Berçot, a renowned fashion school in Paris, and at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan.

After working as a fashion designer for five years, she became a stylist and fashion editor. She has collaborated with numerous international magazines, including Surface, VS, Neo2, Spoon, Vogue Gioello, Vogue Pelle, Stile, Elle Russia and Officiel Russia.

Constantly searching for new domains for creative expression, Irma is also now pursuing her childhood passion for design and architecture.
