Biography:

After graduating in architecture in Florence Erminio Alekos Serpente moved to Paris where he currently lives and works. By this time, he focused his work on light and soon it appeared to be his favorite material to work with, thanks to its ability to create emotional spaces. Currently his work is focused on innovative and traditional lighting products and installations. In 2012 erminio co-founded IF, a design collective with the intent to explore space and light, combined with a poetic and emotional dimension.

Edge

The objective of the EDGE collection is to explore different ways of using light, no longer as a direct lighting element but rather as a structural element that defines the different uses of furniture. The mobile that the light diffusion. The tube contains nano-additives that ensure that light is guided through the entire rod and that it glitters evenly laterally. To obtain this effect, a spot equipped with a 3W LED module is inserted in the side of the tube. The spot will be removable with the possibility of being positioned on the table top to become a more direct source of light, through a magnetic system that will allow it to be kept in position.
