Biography:

Encrypted art is a fusion of an antique gallery and a design studio.The result is a concept space for showcasing unique objects that are both functional and aesthetically remarkable. Each object is either carefully selected because of its cultural significance or designed to have cultural importance. Our designed objects are inspired by ancient cultures and synthesized to be modern. We believe that each object that occupies a space in our existence has to be meaningful and unique. We always seek to collaborate with distinguished artists, designers and architects.

Concept:

The collection is inspired by the interconnection of culture, religion and science. The objects being censers, frames and lights are reinvented to capture the essence of their traditional use and yet pose scientific advancement in terms of their application. Each object is produced in a way that the user can alter easily. This process of object metamorphosis reflects the rapid change in mood that can occur in today’s lifestyle.

Meteor

The allure of meteor showers never failed to captivate the interest of astronomers and to fuel the musings of poets. Their presence has always left a trail of inspiration since man gazed into the sky. Now inspiration strikes one more time with an incense burner that emulates a gazing Meteor as it diffuses incense from a lustrous white bowl. The luxurious brass handle is ergonomically designed to allow for easy movement to diffuse the fragrance in your home Materials , Brass & Porcelain .

Rahela

Rahela is the Arabic name given to camels that carried goods along the ancient trade routes of antiquity. The censer designed as a canopic jar consists of two compartments, one for burning incense and the other for storing incense supplies. The camel head cover is inspired by an artefact from Mohenjodaro, 2300-1750 BC.

Perspective Magnifier Frame

Inspired by scientific observation this industrial chic frame is constructed from solid steel and houses a Fresnel lens in one chamber and a print in the other. When paired with an antique print the frame turns into a futuristic version of Victorian scientific equipment.The Fresnel lens magnifies and highlights the details of your print that otherwise go unnoticed.The frame holds an A4 size print with a plexiglass sheet for protection. You can easily insert any print of your choice in the designated slot to give it a 3D perspective. Materials Steel, Vinyl and Plexiglass.

Illusion

The illusion table lamp is made from an acrylic block that houses the Light Capsule and has a basin on top for storage. This table lamp is a practical bed side table lamp that exudes whimsy and playfulness. The basin is an ideal place to place your phone or keys. Items that we tend to misplace or that usually drop from the bed side table.

Experiment

A playful take on a scientific battery we bring a luxurious python covered Light Capsules floating in an acrylic block. The design intentionally plays on the idea of Yin and Yang. The combination of Light Capsules play the role of cathode/anode giving the impressions of scientific experimentation. Materials Brass, python skin and acrylic.

Untitled

Inspired by the lost ancient city of Thonis-Heracleion we introduce a limited edition of 9 light sculptures. The sculpture is made to look like an artefact from the interaction of two ancient civilisations namely Egypt and Greece. Each piece has a stainless steel led custom lighting.Materials Concrete and Stainless steel light enclosure .

Lamp Lab

The lab lamp as it names reveals is inspired by the lab instrumentation. The general feel of the lamp is that of a microscope house in indian white forest marble. By using the 360 ° feature of Light Capsule you can achieve a reflective light effect which is perfect for mood lighting. Materials Brass and Marble.
