Biography
After a Diploma in Visual Design at the Polytechnic School of Milan in 1983, she worked for many years as a grafic designer in Milan. She started FRAGOLAB (FRAncaGoppionLABoratory) in Treviso, in 2006. Since the beginning, the use of unusual and original materials and the strong presence of colour is what has distinguished her creations, which are mainly hand made in Italy. These include accessories such as necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings. In 2008, she added printed T-shirts to her productions. She uses compositions of her photos of, e.g., flowers, fruit, vegetables and fishes, to be printed onto her own styles of cotton shirts. She is currently developing a new project with woollen fabrics, as a base for new unconventional t-shirts, necklaces and bracelets. Some of her creations, inspired by food, were shown at the ‘Gioielli di Gusto’ exhibition in Palazzo Morando, Milan, September Expo 2015. Her works have been sold at the bookshops of several exhibitions held in Italy in the last few years. The new collection S/S 2017, with the series “Metal weaves” and “Circle” will be presented at the Milan exibition ‘Fuorisalone’ 2017.

“Circle” are different, colored shapes for simple necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings, made with rubber and brass rings. Very casual and easy to wear.

Beads of different materials, like glass, plastic or resin are woven, using brass rods, into a light mesh.
