Design Istro Veneto
Ingredients are History-Mater-Tradition.
The idea stems from the reinterpretation of everyday traditional objects a contemporary design.
Stone processing produces waste that enable to create new objects giving new shape to those waste. From marble quarry to retail shop, block of marble becomes thinner, gets new shape and finishing. The scraps, depending on their size, will get a new aspect and reach different goals according to their use.
Scraps recycling is of interest in many processes, from the conglomerate to the stabilizer for road foundations to sustainable objects.
 
Arch. Alessandra Barbi
Was born in Bussolengo (Verona) in 1977 and graduated in architecture at the Politecnico of Milan in 2004. She has been working as an architect since 2004 with the studio Barbi. Since 2004 she has been participating in the promotion of the cultural activities of Associazione Giovani Architetti Verona where she is currently a member of the board.
 
Arch. Elisabeth Foroni
Was born in Verona in 1978 and graduated in architecture from the Venice IUAV in 2003. She has been working as an architect since 2003 and in 2006 began working with Libero Cecchini architect. Since 2004 she has been participating in the promotion of the cultural activities of Associazione Giovani Architetti Verona where she is currently a member of the board.  From 2002 to 2004  she has been working with Faculty IUAV of Venice. From 2006 to 2011 she has been a teacher in the architectural design workshops held on the Mantova campus of the Faculty  of  Architecture  of the Politecnico di Milano. Since 2011 she began working with Technital an engineering company.
 
Matteo Cavaioni
Was born in Negrar (Verona) in 1973 and graduated  from a school of marble in Sant’Ambrogio in 1989. He specialized in restoration at school of marble in Sant’Ambrogio. Since 2003 he graduated  from Accademia di Belle Arti - Carrara. Since 2009 he graduated from Accademia di Belle Arti Cignaroli –Verona. He began working with many  national and internationatl sculptors and restorers. Since 2002 he is sculptors teacher from scuola d’arte P. Brenzoni - Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella -Verona. Since 1999 began working with  national and international exhibitions.

The idea of a single object as a container for the stationery from office like pencils, pens, notebook and USB stick, made of Istrian stone.

The idea of an original cooking method for a traditional food like egg, made in nembro rosato a tipycal Verona marble.

The idea of a salt and pepper set in Istrian stone with parts in verona red marble to complete an original egg cooking method.
 
 
 
Product: Set Apertivo caffè – Appetizer coffee set
 
A bootle chiller with a basic structure resembling a block of marble extracted from the quarry dug inside for insert a bootle, made with nembro rosato a particular pink Verona marble which has the caratheristic of with standing the low temperatures and it can be placed in the freezer. A drip-free upon completion bootle chiller.
 
 
 
Product: Set Apertivo caffè – Appetizer coffee set
 
An original container for sugar sachets made with scrap pieces of marble nembro rosato. It’s composed of a rectangular base and the upper part is made from small cylinders that recall the classical columns of the temples of a Greek architecture.  A Tray and two coffee cups  upon completation of the container for sugar sachets.
