Biography:

At Julian Valentin we are a small, young, dynamic, creative, friendly, cool and passionate team. Our design is unconventional and true to life, as we are inspired by everything around us. People, everyday life, situations, nature. We drill deep into the details, transforming simple branches into hanging lamps, or roof gutters into lighting installations. We create form from nondescript materials. They are completely transformed. We do this from the very outset, and exclusively within our team. We start with our visions and sketches, carefully select the perfect material, create the initial models and prototypes, and even live with our own products before optimising and manufacturing them. Until everything – and we mean everything – is working perfectly. Uniquely and exclusively for you.

Concept:

You only buy our furniture once, as you’ll be enjoying it for a whole lifetime. But you’re welcome to select several design objects from our range – tailored to your individual needs, of course. We provide you with custom advice and useful care instructions to show off your new furniture or lighting in all its glory. We adapt installation products to the exact requirements of your space and install them on-site. We’ll say it to you straight: you’ll be seeing us again, as we take care of our favourite things even after they’ve been purchased. That’s a promise.

Rainbow Lamps
There’s a lot that you can do with roof gutters – like introduce industrial flair to your home. The hanging Rainbow Light lamp is made of moulded copper parts. The special patina and burnished discolourations are created by applying fierce heat with a handheld Bunsen burner, resulting in a special design. The luminaire casts a warm, atmospheric light downwards, while illuminating the inner copper shade. This intensifies the glow of the colours. Turning the lampshade allows you to point the light beam. The sweeping undulations of the copper shade create different light contours on the walls and floor. Ideal over your bedside table or as a playful, stand-alone light installation.

Golden Shelf
Striking can still be soft – this shelf, handcrafted to a high standard by master joiners, gives your wall an utterly distinctive look. At the same time, it blends harmoniously into your room as a design element. The bulbous shape creates a surprising 3D effect, yet the organically rounded corners make it appear extremely light, creating an open feel within the space. With gorgeous real pigment colours that always look different, we adapt the look and the shape to suit your individual ideas. As such, you not only have a shelf that is ideal even for high objects, but also a truly unique piece – for your home, for exhibitions or a shop space. Lorem
The LOREM luminaire provides an impressive play of colours, materials and light. The lampshade is made of grid mesh, painted both inside and out in different shades of colour. Thanks to the transparent and lightweight shade design, it radiates all-round light, illuminating the entire space without being too obtrusive. The unconventional and elegant appearance of the original LED bulb is complemented by a steel frame and a top-quality textile-wrapped cable that can be ordered in various colours. The luminaire can be installed in different configurations and heights, creating space and interacting with its setting. And most importantly of all, it just looks really good.

Shine
Light can bend, as our original floor lamps ably demonstrate. What was originally conceived as an installation in a decommissioned water treatment plant also works beautifully in your living room, in large reception areas or in offices. Whether as a stand-alone piece or in a group, the column of light provides a warm light that illuminates the room evenly, creating an ambience of well-being with its soft shadows. The white, matt and extremely lightweight plastic web plates are joined by hand into one piece. Although the light bows down before you, these light columns are extremely stable thanks to a solid steel base. At your service. Shine Light is available in different heights.
