La Lupa Design

Biography:

La Lupa Designs, founded by Domenika Konstantinidi, launched her statement jewelry in May 5th 2017. The studio is based in Athens and collaborates with selected Boutiques and Galleries. The collection consists of hand-made Jewelry with the soul of every piece being the Chiyogami paper ( a traditional Japanese silk screened by hand paper) imported from Japan while modeled and inspired according to the art of paper folding known as Origami. Gold, silver, semi-precious stones, pearls , corals and stainless steel wire blend together with the Chiyogami to complete every piece, while the hardening of the paper is achieved with ecological materials. The elegance of the dynamic forms in every creation is a tribute to the designers studies as an architect , harmoniously combined with the reflections of her personal spiritual research.

Concept:

In the mythology of Native Americans, La Lupa symbolizes the archetype that guides the liberation of the soul, creativity and spirituality of women. "La Lupa Designs", through its unique jewels, tries to represent the Savage Woman that all female beings have within them. Through the transformation of a fragile material like paper into dynamic forms, this line of jewels represents the strength of all women, although these may appear fragile to an external eye. "My goal is to make women who wear my creations transformed and strengthened feel free, to release their wild appearance that represents the instinctive nature that nourishes their creativity, vitality and their inner soul."
