Biography:

New Zealand designer and architect Lyzadie Renault’s creations embody the luxury of natural materials, timeless and unique design and exquisite New Zealand craftsmanship. LyZadie Design Studio was founded in 2017 by Lyzadie Renault and we launched our first collection Flow in March 2018. Lyzadie creates collections inspired by New Zealand and then travels the country to find a maker or makers to bring her designs to life. The natural materials she chooses are intrinsic to the story of each collections. Her connection to nature is strong and her creations bring this connection to nature to life.Our creations have been fashioned with such great skills that it looks as if all the materials have naturally united themselves.

Concept:

INSPIRED BY THIS LAND AND CRAFTED BY HER MAKERS: It might start as a glimmering spark, then grow, steadily, till the vision for each and every piece by LyZadie Design is fully formed; made rich and glowing and perfect. The simple clarity and culture of New Zealand’s clean, green islands is what starts that spark. But it is hours of love, of craftsmanship and dedication, that turns each initial glimmering idea into something that can be touched and cherished.The quality and character of a luxury piece of furniture is something tangible. Something you can sense with every use. And at LyZadie Design Studio, the conscious pursuit of excellence and true artistry is something that lies at the heart of everything we do. The result is a product with a rich timelessness you can feel. Yet luxury shouldn’t cost us the earth. We believe in making a minimal environmental impact and in giving back to our planet rather than taking from it. Our sustainable designs use raw and natural rescued materials, and each piece is handcrafted in New Zealand, allowing us to control the environmental impact of our process from start to finish. As George Santayana said, “the Earth has music for those who listen.” We make it our business to listen, and trust you both see and hear the Earth sing through our designs.

Flow side table

The Flow Side Table is inspired by New Zealand’ South Island braided rivers. It is handmade in New Zealand in rescued river Rimu and brass. The rescued river Rimu comes from the South Island of New Zealand and no trees were cut. There is a GPS Coordinate tag under each table so you can trace where the wood comes from

Realathered sideboard

The Relateathered Sideboard is handmade in New Zealand in Rimu (local wood), brass, blackened steel and used black leather belts. This collection is inspired by telling the story of New Zealanders through each used leather belts. Each belt represents the life of a New Zealander - so many moments embodied in these simple

beautiful and rich leather belts. Upcycling leather belts and using raw materials in this collection is beyond fulfilling.

White clouds pendants

The White Cloud Pendants are inspired by the translation of the Maori name for New Zealand which is Aotearoa - The Land of the Long White Cloud. In my mind I could see a land swathed in a long white cloud. Handmade in New Zealand in white glass. Each single one is unique.

Fern Mirror

-The Fern Mirror is inspired by the iconic fern which represents New Zealand in our sportspeople and also because it is everywhere in our forests. Handmade in New Zealand from reclaimed Kauri wood.
