Kurt Merki Jr.

	Ha svolto un apprendistato nella fabbrica di arredo del padre, per poi trasferirsi nel 2001 a Zurigo, dove ha lavorato come architetto di interni in differenti studi. Nel 2008, a Milano, ha approfondito la sua conoscenza del design frequentando i corsi presso il Politecnico. Lì ha conseguito la specialistica in Architettura di Interni e Industrial Design. Ritornato a Zurigo, nel 2010 ha fondato il suo studio. Kurt Jr. started his apprenticeship in his father’s furniture factory. He moved to Zurich in 2001, where he worked as an interior architect for different architecture offices. In 2008 he moved to Milan to deepen his knowledge of design and attended courses at Politecnico di Milano. There he completed his Masters in Interior Architecture and Industrial Design. He moved back to Zurich to start his own design Studio in 2010.

Falò

Illuminazione, Lighting Falò è una lampada che richiama la luce dei falò, usata per aggregare le persone e condividere momenti insieme, in quanto un tempo il fuoco era usato non solo come fonte di calore ma anche come fonte di illuminazione. The Faló lamp reminds the firelight that intends to bring people together. The burning fire and the moments we share leave always an impression on us. The fire place used to be at home for heating and lighting up the living room.
Contortion Sofa

Divano, Sofa Contortion Sofa è la combinazione tra uno scaffale e una seduta. Gli elementi si collegano attraverso un telaio che rende la seduta simile ad una struttura a sbalzo. La poltrona è disponibile in diverse dimensioni, fino ad un divano a tre posti. Contortion Sofa is about a combination between a shelf and a chair. They connect themselves through one single frame making the seat area to react as cantilever. The seating unit starts with a single unit up to a three sitting sofa.
