Lu Bar a Din 2015
LùBar is a streetfood oriented project born in Sicily in June 2013.
It started picking up fans and success in a small chiringuito near the seaside in the Oasi of Vendicari (Noto), near Syracuse.
The concept, created by the two siblings Lucrezia and Ludovico Bonaccorsi, has been to portray the tradition of the Sicilian culture and it’s territory.
The result is a mix of simplicity, rural land with indefinite colours and perfumes.
The taste is authentic, the vegetables are bio, the fresh fish is no-breeded and all is enriched with vibrant spices. This is the base of most of the recipes as the tradition wants.
In April 2014, during Milan Design Week, LùBar launched an itinerant kitchen custom mounted on an Ape Piaggio car. Serving freshly prepared rice traditional arancini and selected wines from Sicily.
The success was instant. Magazines and newspapers started talking about it, many were the requests for private parties, gourmet fairs and corporate events.
LùBar Slow Street Food therefore began travelling throughout all of Italy.
The strength of the project is the will to share an hedonistic break from the everyday routine, substituting regular food habits with an elaborated meal.
The LùBar Ape Piaggio has distinctive characteristics, from the materials adorning the truck to the particular colour combinations of the uniforms.
Lucrezia (27 years old, Set Designer) and Ludovico (25 years old, Food Lover) will now open in May 2015 a LùBar Ape Piaggio in Copenaghen at the Torvenhallen Market.
