This handle is designed to look like a double overturned spoon. It explores different elements, such as the value of fullness and emptiness, and the illusion that light produces when reflected on concave and convex forms.
The designer explains that "despite the complete lack of definite geometric points of reference, its tactile qualities are well-received by our mind which recognises in them the signs of our past. The handle is reminiscent of the first tools held by man, made from pieces of flint or animal bones. Its mirror-like form echoes the Chinese yin-yang symbol, an expression of the dual, complementary nature of our universe. It represents the values of positive and negative, masculine and feminine, light and matter, fullness and emptiness. Inseparable rather than opposed elements. Indeed the continuation of one another.
The sight of its pleasantly shiny shape is as thrilling as touching and using such a cleverly connected object".
