Sora symbol for excellence, the "conca", a vase sinuous, was used by women "ciociare" (women of a given geographical area: Latium to the south-east of Rome, without well-defined limits) for the transport of water without the use of hands, putting it on the head. The woman, in fact, carrying the bowl had an undulating course, "Catamena" is just the name of this walk! Today the "conca" is just a souvenir and decorative objects, deprived of its primary function: it becomes the basin, its base becomes concave to allow a tilting movement, and recall the behavior of women. His lines remind us more than women: the tiny, the fat and the woman from perfect lines. Its function is actualized: contains water and flowers, a further tribute to women, so there is a mix of past and present feature: it does contain water and its use continues to be decoration. Designed to be entirely made of copper, thanks to the skill of the local who now realizes the "conca" for a few nostalgic.
