This year Vienna will be the international design showcase again.
In its fourth edition, the Austrian festival of Design offers many events including exhibitions, conferences being held in various places of the Austrian capital.
It is aimed at different and international audience, and not just those who is involved with the world of design.
 In collaboration with museums, galleries and manufacturers, the city will become a platform for design. Thanks to the presence of the most famous contemporary designers, the festival deals with different themes: product design, industrial design, furniture design, and shows a constant interest in the Central and East Europe design.
This year there are the Vienna Design Week "Passionwege", "Laboratory" and "Carte Blanche".

Vienna Design Week " Passionwege "
The Passionwege is a design path through the capital where, in old Viennese establishments and in city areas not linked to design, Austrian and foreign designers are invited to create objects.
Participants this year will be: Mark Braun (GER), White Elephant (A), formafantasma (I), Jessica Hansson (S), Annette Hinterwirth (A), kim + Heep (A), Julia Landsiedel (A), Nicolas Le Moigne ( CH), Daniel Post (CZ) and vandasye (A)

Vienna Design Week "Laboratory"
It takes place at the Kunsthalle, the Festival in Vienna. Graphs and emerging designers here will present their projects. The event, like last year, is organized in cooperation with the Austrian designer Erwin K. Bauer.
Participants: Tomás Alonso (UK), Cornelia Hess (CH), Sarah Kueng & Lovis Caputo (CH), Adrian Merz (CH) and Pixelgarten (GER).

Vienna Design Week "Carte Blanche"
 It is devoted to ambitious projects demonstrating the design strength of its ability to propose ideas for improving the life quality.
For those interested, from 1 September the Vienna Design Week festival program will be online. The printed guide will be free available anywhere in the city and every days during the festival.
