Promote Design is glad to annouce the winners of the contest for the most original and innovative design projects inside Design for 2015.
 
The winner projects are:
 
Illuminasogni di Babaulab (Edoardo Colzani + Matteo Citterio) – Italy
Paper-Wood HORSE di Drill Design ( Yusuke Hayashi + Yoko Yasunishi) – Japan
X-plus di Xiaoxi Shi – USA
 
All the winners will have an expositive area among the Din -Design in (14th -19th April 2015) for free which is organised by Promotedesign.it for the Fuorisalone 2015.
 
Illuminasogni tells stories and in the dark of  the night light up children’s dreams, telling them about witches and fairies, dragons and knights. A lamp for children able to amaze them, reading fairy tales and audio-books for them.
Babaulab was born as a collaboration between the designers Edoardo Colzani and Matteo Citterio. It’s a lab addressing to children and grownups, telling them about nature: observing, imagining and creating wooden objects and toys, with quality and recyclable materials. BABAULAB is patient and is waiting for you to discover it...just can’t wait to play with you.
 
 
Paper-Wood HORSE is a rocking horse for kids built with the ecofriendly paper-wood material. It is made of layers of colored recycled paper and laminated wood on top of each other with the result of a beautiful edge finishing.
Drill Design was founded by Yusuke Hayashi and Yoko Yasunishi. They deal with numerous projects in various fields, such as product design, graphic design and packaging. Their products are available for sale across Europe and worldwide. Thanks to their works they have won numerous national and international awards, including Good Design Award, Red Dot Design Award and a nomination for the German Design Award.
X-plus is designed to be used as side table, low shelf or stool. Combining a couple of them together, users can create different table size and fuctions to suit their needs. X-plus can be stacked to save space.
 
 
Xiaoxi Shi is an industrial designer based in California. His work involves consumer products and furniture. He designed Nokia 1200 which consistently ranked as top 3 best selling mobile phone in history. His award-winning furniture, X-plus was exhibited in Milan, New York and Paris in 2012. Through his passion for design and  for the details he aims to create a beautiful experience from ordinary life.
 
 
The choose of the projects has been really difficult because all the partecipants had really high and innovative skills. The selection has been made by consulting all the published projects in the Design For 2015. This is the fourth chapter of a story about people and objects and how a design product is created. This year the book has highlighted 300 concepts by 150 international designers presented with more than 1500 images and descriptions both in Italian and English. In addition there are some special sections devoted to  companies  such as, Bosa, Gufram and Pedrali and internationally renowned designer, Adriano Design, Giovanni Levanti, Makio Hasuike.
 
To have a look to the winners' product we will wait from 14th 'till 19th April 2015 in the Lambrate area, inside the expositive event by promotedesign.it, which is the place of the event of Din – design in 2015.
