Project #Zero, was born as an error during the design of another kids game made of wood.
Because NVDRS is a design studio, we imagine #Zero not as a simple toy but like a real customizable project. Everyone can choose from alternative faces or bases with the help of the NVDRS crew and they can also request the CAD file to create directly their own one. Just as an example, it is possible also to create accessories through 3D printing.
In fact #Zero consists of three separable pieces: Face, Body, Base. The simple shape encourages and invites also the more classic colouring customizations.
Height 9 cm (3.5 inch) made of resin.
It is available, at the moment, combinable in six different colours.
For the Milano Design Week 2016, NVDRS asked designers, graphic designers and illustrators to customize #Zero.
The Project #Zero | a designer toy exhibition took place at 150UP | Milan | Italy, with customizations by: Lanzavecchia + Wai | Elena Salmistraro | Mibramig | Sovrappensiero Design Studio | Philippe Tabet | Sakka | SuperUltraBlu | Federica Marziale | Davide Pagliardini | Marlen Mckey | Alberto Becherini | Sopa Design Studio | Giovanni Carati | Francesco Poroli | Johnny Cobalto.
The NVDRS study takes shape from a founding members brainchild: Francesco Schiraldi, Stefano Pertegato, Eloisa Tolu.
After following different and individual career paths, they decided to give professional print to a shared passion began years ago, confirming the harmony born during their studies at the “Politecnico di Milano”.
All the project founders worked with internationally designers and companies and emerging talents: Michael Young, Kristiina Lassus, Leo Burnett, Toan Nguyen, Danese Milano, Lanzavecchia + Wai. Those experiences have enriched this creative group with different expertise. Different personality and skills lead to a comparison that is the basic of every design process. Through different background, different individual vision of "design concept", contamination between opposite ideas the team makes possible to be always constructive and critical towards their projects.
