BYFLY is a Portuguese brand that first started as a dream, a desire to do something different and defining. Originating from a company with strong ceramic traditions, BYFLY is a pioneer in its firm commitment to design, backed by a team of professionals that help make it a reference company in a region known to have several companies in the same line of business.
Using local raw materials, supported by a tradition inherited from its ancestors, and by people committed to creating and developing, Alcobaça has become a reference in all international markets. We are at the forefront of developing new forms, decorations and concepts, working daily to perfect and develop innovative technique that will add value to our products and make them stand out and be special among the rest! The Byfly product is a piece of the history of Portugal and Alcobaça based on a century-old tradition that the skilled and sensitive hands of our workers have valued and transformed from a simple piece of clay into real items of passion.
In moments as ephemeral, being bold and keeping innovating allowed us to keep the well-being and tranquility that only what is really new and different can transmit us. This was how BYFLY was born. With two years of existence, it was first presented to the public in February 2015 at Ambiente fair in Frankfurt, quite successfully, being already represented in several countries such as Germany, Italy, France, Israel, Spain, Taiwan, Norway, UK and Austria. All products are designed and produced in Portugal.
Looking closely at everything that surrounds us, feeling and appreciating the art that embraces us, and thinking that not everything has been created, that the power entrusted to us gives us the ability to create, to progress, to execute and to simply ... dream. Knowing that the earth can be transformed into ceramic items that fill our souls and make us outshine, appealing to our feelings. BYFLY is a dream come true, the desire to do something different, linked to the earth and ever present in the minds of those who live in a real world, yet who aspire, create, grow, are destined for higher flights and are constantly unhappy as there is always something new to be discovered. This is the way to move forward, grow, transform, and to be happy. Our 50 years of experience have now crystallized as a reputed brand which aims to be of future value, based on past experience and making its statement at this very moment.
The objects we have created are much more than simple ceramic work: they are a concept of art and design firmly anchored on the expertise of those who master the clay with their skillfuland sensitive hands, transforming it into something that is part of them.A significant element in the success of the BYFLY collection, where decor is culture, original creativity and tradition, is its capacity to detect and adapt to the fast-moving trends, and the ability to constantly create new items to better serve the clients needs. Clay is brought under the limelight and back to life in new forms and combinations as the result of research, expertise, aesthetics, and experimentation. All in all, this new brand combines past and present, offers tactile stories in the form of ceramic and copper work, in which the BYFLY shapes inspire symbolic, subtle universes, filled with seduction, where clay is carefully crafted or is interwoven into innovative lines.
