De Castelli's Coffee tables

Sunrise&Sunset, Syro e tracing Identity

De Castelli's Coffee tables: Sunrise&Sunset, Syro e tracing Identity.
Sunrise&Sunset design Artefatto, 2017

Two small tables, like big trays, enhance brass and copper chromatic features. A hand-made finishing where material shows its pureness, creating darker shades thanks to a monitored and gradual oxidation. The base, made with délabré iron, sustains the tray-like surface creating a strong chromatic contrast. The Sunrise&Sunset collection is provided in two different heights, representing the sun rising and setting on the horizon.

SYRO design Emilio Nanni, 2015

In the idea of setting up the living area with tables of the same design but different in size, color and handwriting, born SYRO: a triptych of small tables with metal structure supported by a thin metal rod and characterized by graphic elements engraved on the sheet metal. It 's a combination of shapes and a blending of colors: iron, brass and copper, where the engraved designs are inspired by the circles that are born and branch out into the water, between the flow of the current and the wavelets.

The special treatment of the metals make it a comprehensive set of high-impact graphics and colors.
The transverse connection of the structure, placed at the same height from the ground, have a forge that refers to the interweaving of the branches. The different heights, the interlaced design and the color of the metals determine a mutant composition that continually renews the space in which they are inserted.

TRACING IDENTITY Scribble design Francesca Lanzavecchia, 2017
All that glitters ain’t gold... it could be copper, brass, iron.

This coffee tables collection aims to celebrate the beauties of De Castelli finishes. Precious materials that express themselves through distinctive oxidations combined with a minimal drawing. The final aim of this project is showing the feminine and elegant soul of metal. Like essential and soft lines drawn by a paintbrush, these shapes create a sort of dance and suddenly turn into table tops ready to be used for elegant and vibrant compositions.
