Lambrate Design District landed in Prague

Great success for the designers selected by Promotedesign.it presented at the Czech Design Week

On Sunday, December 2nd it ended the 2018 edition of the Czech Design Week, which took place in the capital of the Czech Republic in the evocative location of the Prague Congress Center. Among the brands and designers from all over the world, the collective exhibition offered by Promotedesign.it and Lambrate Design District distinguished itself, with a selection of innovative products selected directly by the Italian team.

The Lambrate Design District has always stood out during the Milan Design Week for its international character, offering cutting-edge products and experimentation. To consolidate this distinctive characteristic, Promotedesign.it, grounded as organization for 7 years within the district, wanted to seize this opportunity, tighten an annual collaboration with the team of the Czech Design Week, representing the entire district of Lambrate. For this occasion Promotedesign.it has therefore selected the brands and designers to be presented in Prague among the 100 companies published in the eighth edition of Design For 2019, a volume edited by Promotedesign.it and published by Fausto Lupetti Editore, which includes 230 products of companies from all over the world.

The Czech Design Week, the event that took place from November 28th to December 2nd 2018 in Prague, represented an important showcase for the selected designers. Participating in international exhibitions is certainly an important showcase offered to designers and small companies, who are able to promote their design beyond national borders. The 22 realities selected by the Promotedesign.it team and the Lambrate Design District who had the opportunity to show their products in the Czech capital were: Alberto Quazzo Design, Anna Jaroszewicz – Freundlich, Brandodesign, Chendù, Dam, Doris Darling, Elli Design - Designer Elli Alessio, Ergolain & Plazma, Flapstudio - Architectural Design Lab, Kauch, Laura Itkonen, Lorenzo Capanna - Compasso_Ad, Metalfresa, Phormy.com, Roberto Monte Per Alfaterna Marmi, Recycled Stones, Ristart, Siderio, Studio Tr3nd, Venetica, Vera Purtscher - Vera Pure, Vzor.

Not only furniture but also accessories for the home and the kitchen: within the area set up by Promotedesign.it and Lambrate Design District, the variety of products presented to the public have been carefully selected for every need and taste. The Pipo stools presented by the Portuguese brand DAM, inspired by the traditional wooden barrel used for the storage of wine, are interesting and original. Furthermore, the wood blended with the stone in Doi, a coffe table designed by the three Italian designers of Tr3nd with a stereometric shape. Doi pretends to be a block of stone, that, breaking, reveals the stone peel on a side and the wooden negative on the other. Great success for Lowbo as well, a black sideboard inspired by the simplicity of Japanese design made by Phormy.com, a Polish brand that stands out in all its creations for elegance and refinement.

The cooperation between international organizations is of great motivation and importance for the Lambrate Design District, which is already in contact with the most prestigious Design Weeks to create an innovative and quality exhibition path within the district on the occasion of the 2019 Fuorisalone.
