FIR ITALIA: THE ARCHITECTURAL STYLE THAT REDEFINES INTERIORS
The villa has two floors. The ground floor houses the living area with its guest bathroom, the three children's bedrooms with their own bathroom, and the ancillary structures: gym, laundry, garage and utility room. The staircase, the focus point of the living area, actually conceals access to the sleeping area on the ground floor and houses an actual bar area. Upstairs, a large double bedroom, which overlooks a glass wall, holds, behind the bed, a double shower and, at the foot of the bed, a free-standing bathtub, which stands out on an island of white resin sunk into the Iroko parquet.
The project is based on unusual combinations, on aesthetic contrasts, brought about by the shapes and materials that characterise the various areas of the villa, such as the wood of the staircase and chairs and the metallic effects of the floor, or the dense stone of the island and the neat lines of the pillars in the kitchen area. Also in the bathrooms, the contrasts between shapes and materials are clearly perceptible: the roundness of the washbasin complements and the free-standing bathtub are in marked contrast with the minimal style of LifeSteel 59 or the matt effect of the wall and floor tiles that create an interesting mix with the iridescent reflections of steel typical of Fir Italia taps and mixers.
The LifeSteel 59 collection is part of Green Total Look, the completely green range of stainless steel taps and mixers, featuring the use of environmentally compatible materials, energy saving and water saving solutions and a contemporary and timeless design.
The LifeSteel 59 mixer is fashioned from a single AISI 316L stainless steel piece, where matter is transformed by techniques that are reminiscent of the craftsmanship applied to blocks of marble or solid wood. AISI 316L stainless steel is an especially versatile material that is well suited to a right-angled design that is clean in the shapes, in the style and in the care for every aesthetic detail.
The peculiar feature of this collection is the appearance of the handle, cylindrical in shape, with a sideways position that leaves ample space for the main body, the undisputed star of this line: a choice that totally reveals the spout, for a design of the utmost neatness and elegance, and for a highly functional result that sees the elimination of unsightly points where dirt might build up and oxidation might take place.
A linear and geometric design, that breaks new ground, exploiting the features of stainless steel to give a new slant to the right-angled style, achieving extremely thin shapes, such as the water spout that is only 6 mm thick.
The iconic style of Fir Italia thus fits into a completely overhauled residential setting, giving a touch of elegant modernity to a project where contemporaneity reigns, in particular in the technological systems and the choice of finishings.
The bathroom areas thus become the beating heart of the home, thanks to the collection of Fir Italia, LifeSteel 59, recently awarded with the Honourable Mention at the 26th Compasso d'Oro ADI, in a perfect mix between the glitter of steel and the glow of gold, providing refinement and elegance to the entire residential project.
