Twils, an Italian manufacturer of beds and sofas, has always been committed to the quest for innovative, revolutionary solutions. Over the years, the company has always placed the consumer at the forefront of its thinking, looking to satisfy everyone's needs wherever possible.
Over the last 12 months, Twils has understood that a new market need has arisen, a combination of two contrasting yet complementary elements: on the one hand, the need for a harmonious, proportional, aesthetically pleasing bed, and on the other, the need for a space to store the bed linen, often particularly bulky and for which there’s hardly any room in the cupboard.
To meet this need, the company has conceived the A-Box, a container suspended in the “Air”, as the letter A in its name suggests.
This innovative compartment created beneath the bedstead becomes, to all intents and purposes, an additional storage unit to complete the furniture arrangement when the cupboards and drawer units aren’t sufficient. An additional storage space that’s ideal for those items that aren’t used daily but which need to be kept in the home.
However, there’s more to the A-Box than meets the eye: indeed, it’s a solution that enables the bed to “float” thanks to its unique design that makes the supporting feet disappear from view, thus guaranteeing an extraordinary elegance and an unparalleled aesthetic.
It also offers an incredible 11 cm of clearance between the floor and the bed, so cleaning is extremely easy and quick even for a robot vacuum cleaner!
Thanks to a specially designed panel shape, the storage space under the mattress is also surprisingly capacious: as much as 500 litres, depending on the choice of bed.
A-Box - a registered design - is a technical solution that can be integrated with almost any bed in the Twils collection.
With A-Box, the storage container is there... but you can't see it!
THE COMPANY
Twils, which initially started out as a family-run business, has evolved into a large company, but without breaking its ties with the local area or losing its all-Italian capacity for “savoir faire”.
It was also one of the first companies to understand the potential of the “tailor-made” upholstered bed, with coordinated linen and accessories.
Furthermore, it also brings a predisposition for beauty that’s derived from the culture of the territory of its origins, and which is reflected in authentic Made in Italy quality, for which it has always been an ambassador.
