diplopie (http://diplopie.it ) was born in Turin in 2010 from an idea of Pierfranco Giolito.
Pierfranco has been working for years in a mechanical workshop,
and as a result of thorough research on different materials and his natural curiosity,
he lands to to Design even though he doesn't like to define himself a "Designer".
"I create objects that fulfill my taste" tells Pierfranco.
His adventure starts in 2010 with Tom Design (Turin) presenting "duecento/50" a series of self-produced objects for daly use.
In April 2011 he attends the "Fuori Salone Milano Lambrate Ventura with Designersblock.
Some of his work has been on display at the at The Concept Store Eglise (Turin) since 2011.
Today, the adventure continues……
The daily materials' usage is the core of diplopie's work (from concrete to steel)
trying to emphasize their materiality.
Objects to be used, to be touched and to be lived, simply "focused" on their function.
