“I have a box full of coloured little nails, and I can decide what to do with them”. This is what I used to think in front of a white perforated table. And I used to imagine a frame to let my table become a painting, a space to compose in shapes with my hands, anxious to discover the final surprise. I was looking for a system to pave my garden with the same immediateness of a spontaneous child gesture while he is playing in front of his table. Chiodo (nail) is like that: simple, linear and instinctive. It is a floor tile equipped with a ceramic cone, easy to insert in the earth, also by a child, without depending on experts (ma extraneous) gardens designers or on technicians. If one day I want to paint a big flower, I can compose a tiles sequence and I will have a daisy on my garden; if then I want to illuminate it, I can add some Chiodo, putting some of them in circle and others for the rays, and a beautiful sun will shine and warm my flower also in winter, if I wish it! I can also use different colours tiles to decorate my meadow to feel a true garden artist. And I am happy because the lack of invasive and permanent constructions and cementing, let the vegetal life grow spontaneously in its natural shapes. Chiodo is part of a complex project that innovates the garden decoration: the ceramic pavement, used as path, perimeter to define some areas or as base to support garden furnishing, is only the starting point for a new intelligent outdoor decoration; together with the tiles, they have been designed decoration elements like flower pots, lamps, dividing walls and candle holders.
