They look towards the sea of the world. They look afar, they look out. Beyound windows, beyound doors. Outside all limits. They are oriented to that which we do not know. They observe us. They protect us. They bring serenity, but at the same time induce fear. Mata Ki and Te Rangi, literally 'eyes to the sky', are based on Mohai from Easter Island, a combination between antique figures and robotic minimalist lines. They love tranquillity, sleeping only when filled with white stones, and they never lose sight of the sky. Never. Mata Ki and Te Rangi, like fragments of earth, are made of ceramic.
