Our lighting project was based on a strong scenographic will. We wanted to realize light effects able to transpose outside, in the square, the magic of theatrical atmospheres. Light helps to put on the sense of life with its contradictions and its pleasure, it turns the inhabitants in wonderful actors who interpret themselves. Very interesting is the reinterpretation of the twelve benches which furnish the square. We turned them in bright islands showing the time passing. They are meridians of perpetual light that foster meetings and animate the open space of the square. Lamps we designed are the result of the history and culture of the place, they are an unusual interpretation of the traditional lamp, it is a gas lamp aesthetically and technologically actualised. We dedicated this handmade to the identity of the town, through the use of the local ceramics which cover the first six feet (two metres) of the pole. The result of this project is a system which grants high levels of security and comfort for the citizens and exalts the architectural and artistic goods of the place.
