Premiered at FuoriSalone 2011, Twist lamps and Poppy pen holder are part of the new collection of products designed for the Italian brand “Lamidea”. They are made in Italy products, inspired by pop-up books and following criteria of environmental, economic and social sustainability, like most of the works of ZO_loft. Not without a hint of irony., ZO-loft’s proposal for Lamidea is all based on a strategy made up of simple lines and stylized figures, on the complicity with the end user, optimization of technology and production and distribution processes. All items can be customized with lettering and logos and, being made of steel, are fully recyclable. Processing is optimized for laser cutting and brushing, so to reduce machining time and reducing energy consumption. The compact packaging, as well as reducing material, reduces transportation costs and the consequent fuel consumption. In this way the lowest cost per user = the lowest cost to the environment. On 150° of the Unification of Italy, ZO_loft has chosen to customize the Twist lamps with famous phrase of topical interest, inspired by italian history and culture. An aphorism of Oscar Wilde out of the movie “La vita è bella” and some verses out of the Divina Commedia of Dante Alighieri (Purgatorio • Canto VI v. 76-78).
