A cult in the preparation, the pleasure of taste, and the Neapolitan ritual ... is the coffee!
I always thought that coffee and especially the Neapolitan once with the Bialetti Mocha are products that distinguish the "Made in Italy”.
In addition to taste and methods of preparation, over the last years on the market more products related to this drink. Products like futuristic design coffee machines transformed into electronic items, the octagonal shaped-cup from Julius Iacchetti, edible cups. We have been switched from the powder coffee to the capsules once. In recent years new technologies were launched on the market, such as ready hot coffee or new hot soluble solution, witch changed the ways of preparation. However the real coffee is still the one prepared in more traditional way.
One of the products that had made the history of Italian design and will always remain an object that will be part of every Italian house is the Bialetti Moka.
My project was born from the cult of the Neapolitan tradition in coffee preparation and observation of an everyday object such as Mocha, linked to the preparation of a popular drink in Italian culture, coffee.
The shape of mocha inspired the product "Sugar Beet", the sugar cube with an octagonal shape, which added directly into the coffee machine, allow you to correct the taste of your coffee and make it frothier with its variety of flavors (anise, hazelnut, chocolate, rum, etc.).
Once and still today especially at home the coffee in Naples was sweetened in advance because it made it frothier. Sugarbeet wants to be a product that mixes up traditions with a new design that can be used at home or at the bar.
