corporate architecture for service desks within germany's
train stations | “The Service Point is the calling card of
Deutsche Bahn, in any mainline station!” (Dirk Schulmeyer,
Manager of Berlin Main Station).
The aim of the Service Point is for the customer to
personally counter the railway’s services and its
employees. In a project partnership with the architects
Dietz-Joppien, unit-design has developed a complete
product family.
Deutsche Bahn presents the Service Point as an
welcoming, open, customer-oriented and friendly gesture.
The Service Point appears as a brand product of Deutsche
Bahn and has a high brand recognition. This new
development has achieved significant improvements for
operation and maintenance systems in building
automation.
The design is characterised by frame elements folded like
prisms and the generally open form. The Service Point is
formed to all sides, has an open orientation and can be
installed anyway. The choice of colours and materials
create the unmistakable character of the product family
that varies from type to type.
