Already the multisensory art par excellence, cooking now adds a new sense: interactivity.
Bosco is a cutting board made of Ginkgo wood and it's especially designed for lovers of everything high-tech. Hand-carved out of a single log by Kyoto craftsmen, Bosco holds a surprise: an i-pad stand.
Bosco has two parts: 1) a base which is designed to support a tablet or a cook book and 2) a cutting board with a rim that inserts into the base so that the board can be propped up for display, for example while it dries after you've washed it.
Our technology can change even acquired tastes, supplement food culture, and help aspiring chefs. Macrobiotic, low cal, aphrodisiac, vegetarian, vegan, fusion. Everything you can cook is now just a touch away. Bosco will also connect you with any new kind of cooking experience you seek out. The internet is a bottomless recipe box for all tastes and budgets. Pick your recipe, insert your tablet in the base and follow the cooking tips of world-class chefs. Success is guaranteed!
The Bosco cutting board allows you to share your cooking experiences with your virtual networks: an everyday salad can turn into an adventure worth posting on Facebook to get tagged by all your fans or worth sending a couple of tweets with an eye on the stove.
Create your own mini culinary masterpiece and share it in real time! Skype it, youtube it, share the news and do anything online you want that can make everyday cooking even more fun! The Bosco cutting board is not meant to be taken too seriously though. It's meant to provoke and experiment with the relationship between technology and a kitchen tool that is often dull and flat but used daily.
