The area surrounding Milan Railway Central Station, historically one of the most prestigious business district in town, is nowadays living a deep urban and architectural requalification process. In this context sets the structure located in Via Fara 26, an office building of seventies redesigned in a contemporary key and with high contents of efficiency and technology. The existing architecture made of two different intersected elements, the first characterized by an horizontal extension and the second by a vertical development, has been enhanced thanks to the addiction of extra volumes positioned on the building facades, obtaining a more balanced effect between the elements and highlighting the horizontality of the structure. The tower enlargement on the four sides and the long shelter can be considered other expression elements of this concept. The 14 meters interior heights increased the reception area value, characterized by a wooden ceiling starting from the external shelter and by the revolving doors at the main entrance. For the office spaces internal finishes, have been choosen micro-perforated plate ceiling and calcium sulphate floating flooring. Low emission and high acoustic reduction for frames.
