This project for the Radio&Reti headquarters marks a turning point for the company as it provides the first opportunity to regroup many of the departments that have previously been dispersed. This fundamental change was manifested in the many different organizational models studied and tested prior to the selection of the one being implemented. The unique nature of this project is also due to the mixed nature of “tenants” that compose the extended family of R&R. They range from traditional office users to recording studios to a publishing company. This mix led to the design of specialised amenities for each (library/reading room, recording facilities etc.) to common facilities where the extended family can meet and interact, such as a bar and small gymnasium. In addition to the above mentioned characteristics, this project was unique in that it was developed over 12 stories with very limited floor plates (210m2 each), resulting in innovative solutions for work stations, archive instruments and meeting spaces.
