Haworth, a world leader in the office furniture industry, commissioned FGS to design their stand for EIMU ‘99, the international office furniture and systems fair. This and the fairs in Cologne Germany are considered the most important annual events for office furniture in the world. The concept proposed and accepted by Haworth was conceiving the stand as a means for presentations of ideas and not furniture. In this way, the stand was designed as an arena surrounded by a gallery dedicated to Haworth’s “Ideation Center” in which innovative prototypes are displayed and connected to the presentations. Finally, an ovoid structure works as a framework on which audio visual materials could be mounted for presentations.
