mao design Viola Tonucci product by www.manifestodesign.it for an inner revolution - Simple - Funny - Ecological Mao is a simple ottoman in the shape of a cat (or rather his head, nose and ears), made out of a single sheet of hand loomed paper-woven fabric which is folded back on itself like an origami and fixed in shape with two zippers. Inside there is a fabric cushion filled with polystyrene beads, and a recycled plywood board at the bottom fixed up though four screws that act as special pins in order to give it more stability. The product is shipped already assembled but it can be taken apart and be reassembled very easily in the case one prefers to have more than one covers in different fabrics depending on the different seasons. ... just read the instruction booklet!
