This chair was born from the idea of recycle, in line with the latest tendencies in eco-design, but its concept also originates from the rediscovery of traditional handicrafts, getting more and more value again. I choose “poor” and reused materials such as wood bench, or pallet, and thin rope. The wood patterns are gathered to build the whole chair's main frame, recalling the same structure found in old hand looms; while the back and the seat are entirely made by a geometric web of rope. This seat combines the spirit of traditions and the “green soul” current design requires, a marriage between the ancient and the present, finding its meaning in this design.
