Yoo-ooh sticks project arose from our research on tools for eating anywhere in the world at any moment of the day: a dinner at home or at the restaurant, a meal on board, a quick-lunch or during a happy hour with friends. Our multipurpose flatware aim at becoming a new archetype that anyone can grow fond of, maintaining each one’s habits either with fork & knife or with chopsticks and, at the same time, you can taste any food from all over the world with ease and fun. Yoo-ooh sticks can be made in several colours and materials: plastic, wood or bamboo but also elegant and eternal stainless steel, that may be used for home and restaurant. Regarding the potential materials that can be used for our Yoo-ooh sticks, we also want to promote a new solution that can meet the contemporary requirement about product’s sustainability. To the most visionary manufacturers we propose to test a mix between bioplastics and little flowers or spices seeds. We could obtain Yoo-ooh sticks that can be planted in the ground after use and then can blossom into the chosen flower or spice, such as daisies, poppies, basil, parsley… We like the idea that this marriage between East and West helps culture and ecosensibility to spread around.
