The new DStore project develops within an ex-cinema space: the wide open space is divided between ground floor and balcony and each corner is characterized differently belonging to product typology. Solodesign avoids the classic fashion store idea and redesigns some of the corners following a concept store philosophy: a place were customers can buy latest fashion wear as well as high-tech gadgets. So DStore' s corners are thought in different ways, styles, aesthetics and exposition. On the balcony the sneaker shop is made recycling old wardrobes and cabinets merging them so to form a unique piece of furniture, wardrobes' doors are used to build a sneakers display and two old ladders become shelf units. On the walls, a wallpaper patchwork backgrounds the scene and above there is a huge specially designed multiple metal sheet lampshade pendant. Next corner is totally dedicated to women' s shoes and accessories. It has a rough concrete finishing on the walls and naturally oxidized iron frames host different kinds of old solid wood planks as shelves to show the products. Woman' s wear corner intervention consists in out of scale displays made with braided wooden picture frames with dark shaded glass shelves.
