The stand is an installation composed by volumes protruding from side walls as in reefs and it acts as a metaphor of an architecture whose individual components interact to create a space. The modules are designed as a small unit that determines the intelligence of the entire system. The interactive wall, whose mechanism has been devised by Paolo Chiantore, frames the stand and creates a meeting point with the observer, who is shot forth into the virtual reality of the modular space. The reflection creates a disorienting effect as it is not mirroring but asymmetric. The installation Cubi is meant to experience visual situations as possible living spaces. The interactive wall absorbs the image of the passer-by who, being intrigued, comes into play. The project is inspired by kinetic art which realizes temporal perceptual experiments able to abolish the border between objects’ immobility and moving spaces in participant environments. The stand was made in collaboration with Fulvio and Luca Casacci, Ludovica Venturiello and with InExpo s.r.l. in Trofarello (To).
