Haute Couture collections
Some furniture is “prêt-à-porter”: it is picked out and is ready to be placed in your home, just like some clothes are ready to be worn, are mass-produced and offered in standardized sizes.
But other furniture is “haute couture”: you choose its texture, finish, colour, interior configuration, handles and knobs, feet ... these creations are based on sartorial tradition, namely that of made-to-measure clothing. Such pieces are either one of a kind or are produced in very limited editions.
Capo d’Opera creates Haute Couture furniture, which you come to appreciate by exploring its incredible and innumerable possible configurations: more than 50 different textures, ranging from extremely decorative to extremely minimalist, either following geometric rules or with completely irregular shapes. Stencilling, engraving, carving, perforation, sand blasting, streams of colour or of resin and precious finishes like gold and silver leaf, and much, much more.
Are you looking for a floor-to-ceiling piece for your living room, which you can use both as a bookcase and storage space with doors and drawers, but that also houses (and can conceal) your home entertainment centre and fireplace, with a floral, white-on-white texture on lacquered resin?
Or would you prefer a matte lacquered beige piece, lighter and more basic, with invisible handles, matching feet and a contrasting lemon yellow lacquered interior?
Or, for the children's room, how about a storage piece decorated with a relief pattern that reproduces the cable stitch of a sweater or the pattern of a checked shirt? Available, of course, in either a single-colour or two-tone in a wide range of shades.
Would you like Corian® doors, specially engraved to create a 3D effect? Would you like them in glass, in the chromatic scale? Would you like a reed pattern or one that recalls a birch forest? Acanthus leaves? Pixelated roses? Optical circles? Or even a map of your own city?
Capo d'Opera creates all sorts of variants, examining the many possibilities with you; its staff, headed and coordinated by Alessio Bassan and Silvano Pierdonà, take the design of your furniture to heart. Quite obviously, a part of the process is industrial, though most steps, and especially the finishing of doors, are characterized by the kind of customization that is typical of works of art. High-quality, custom-made pieces, splendidly designed and, above all, superbly built.
