Daniela Forti Vita e opere Daniela Forti was born in Rome in 1960. She earned a degree in Architecture and Design from the Art School of Rome; after which she had the opportunità to learn in dept techniques and knowledge by practing and working at the glass art studio FORME. She developed a particular expressive mastery of this material succeeding in manifesting her own creatività in the divergent process linling fluidity and heat to colors a sto the hard and rigid transparency of glass in its natural state. She becomes immediately fascinated with famous International glass artists such as the americans DALE CHIULY, TOOTS ZYNSKY and the german CUNY JUTTA. In 1982 Daniela Forti transferred in Tuscany and opened a fully-equipped studio. She starts a collaboration with various tuscan glassworks. Passing from interior design of prestigious shop sto ex position space decoration, Daniela Forti consolidated her mastery in the correlation between light/glass. In Chianti, where she currently lives and works, the fusing becomes an important if not crucial to its creative development. Through the fusion of glass and crystal she researches and completes a personal interpretation of the matter. She deepens in a totally innovative and unique fusion technique, after a long search, giving rise to a particular process of invention called: MULTIDIMENSIONAL CONTEMPORARY ART, from which comes a new series of works and sculptures. The sculptural vocation of her works has given rise to personal research techniques that have produced creative and expressive moments that have materialized in “TraMe”evolving to the series of “Cactus” and finishing in the lyrical , complex and transparent “Meduse” where fantasy forms and colors linked together to plasticità, composition and pure sculptural expression. Daniela Forti’s sculptures are modelled by the light that returns the plasticità and the vividness. By “Jellifish” Daniela Forti freezes the moment .The control over the tecnical subject kwonledge are an important element in her creative work beacause it allows her to dominate and direct it to where material allows. Her artwork has the ability to represent the gesture. It doses not refer to a past time, it does not suggest evoking it. It returns the immediacy of the work transformation of the material. Time is trapped. The creative moment can thus expand and extend its duration. Jellyfish is a title that refers the marine world. Jellyfish whose transparence suggests a sense of frafgility, delicacy are among the multicellular marine creatures of the most insidious, deceptive in their apparent intangibility. They are there but they escape, they hit and hurt unknowingly. They are still a metafor of a reality that declive, flatters and charme sto hurt then with blindness, without morals. Something uncontrolled. So the glass, the fragile and resistent material, cutting, but alsotransparent, malleable and changeble. Daniela Forti sculpts tha glass by fire, model it in an heroic attempt, mythical, to return inconsistency of time and its flow. It is a work that deceives the senses, which shows the transitino from solid to liquid, stops it. You have the feeling that the movement is the absolute protagonist of the moment.
