GIACOMO FAVA

Giacomo Fava graduated in Architecture submitting a dissertation on the relationship between contemporary art and the home environment. He lived in New York for some time where he worked on architectural interiors and fittings. He then returned to Italy, in Milan, where he obtained a Master's Degree in Industrial Design from the Scuola Politecnica di Design. After working closely with architects and designers in the Milanese arena, he opened giacomofava.studio in 2010, a collection of experiences coming from different  contexts. His work reflects the uneasiness and the needs of our contemporary society and it suggests possible micro-changes which evoke a less anonymous and divided reality for the immediate future. His approach in designing wants to communicate the necessity to transform existing cultural models into a new way of living the world which expresses sensitivity, attention and sustainability.
