Listone Giordano, synonymous worldwide with excellence in high-end wood flooring, is preparing for the summer season with two eclectic proposals aimed at making outdoor spaces even more elegant.

Green flooring

Both collections, in terms of production, processing and disposal, meet the highest standards of sustainability continuing the effort for the planet that the brand has been pursuing for decades.

Decking – Ash

The Decking collection, in both Ash and Teak versions, offers solutions that are simple and sophisticated at the same time.

Origin and treatments

Ash, abundant in most French forests, has optimal mechanical strength characteristics, but it is through heat treatment by steam, without the use of chemicals, that it improves in durability and dimensional stability, thus becoming perfect for outdoor use. Heat treatment of wood represents the final stage of a production chain that enhances the use of renewable natural resources and sustainable forest management. The system subjected to various stages of control improves the physical characteristics of the wood. The natural action of steam, used during heat treatment, is rigorously managed and controlled by a sophisticated state-of-the-art system.

The surface is then brushed and the absence of a finishing treatment enhances the natural and elegant appearance of the wood. The heat treatment process involves the development of a series of molecular reactions of the wood structure producing the change of the saturation point of the fibers and the consequent lower affinity of the wood toward moisture.

Heat-treated wood, in addition to having greater biological durability, is more resistant to attack by insects and xylophagous fungi.

Laying

Laying the floor is facilitated by an invisible, quick and durable fastening system.

Decking Tek

Origin

The Tek version, considered one of the most valuable woods ever, is characterized by its golden-brown wood fiber and distinctive odor. Native to Southeast Asia, it is distinguished by high mechanical properties due to its excellent stability against dimensional changes. It contains natural extractives which confer greater durability against pathogens.

Texture

It is a decking for outdoor application. In addition, the natural oil finish gives uniqueness, prestige and elegance to the outdoor teak flooring.

The laying

Fast and effective laying thanks to the revolutionary patented Clip JuAn® fastening system, which provides estimated time savings of up to 40 percent compared to traditional clip or exposed screw systems. For greater convenience and precision in installation operations, Clip JuAn® are supplied pre-assembled and spaced along the structural magatels. Unlike traditional systems, Clip JuAn® distances the wood from the plane of the substructure by promoting air circulation below the planks, thus eliminating areas of potential moisture accumulation that could damage the wood.

Marine - Collection

Marine is an outdoor flooring that combines high technological value with minimalist and evocative aesthetic beauty. As is often the case when it comes to wood surfaces, the natural inspiration is powerful and in this case refers to marine settings where water and wood coexist in harmony. Harmony that is also possible thanks to the company's great research effort, which combines the intrinsic enchantment of this living material par excellence with innovative technology.

The structure

An exclusive wood such as teak is combined with a unique, specially patented construction system to create floors (residential and otherwise) that are long-lasting. It consists of a teak wood noble layer and a multilayer backing of cross-fiber birch wood. The bond between the wood layers is made with ultra-high performance adhesives that exceed the requirements of the jas type II test.
